Globus Books invites you to join us for a conversation with Kirill Finkelshteyn, author of "In an Alien Body. The Life Secret of N. de Raylan", a portrait of a Russian-American transgender man who died in 1906 in Phoenix, Arizona. This conversation will be in Russian and English, and LGBTQ historians and activists from Russia, Europe and the US will be participating in Q&A.

Zarina Zabrisky will interview Kirill Finkelshteyn about his work, including his research on the Silver Age poets. The major part of this talk will focus on his new, controversial book that raised many questions pertaining to covering the history of transgender people.
