Following the enigmatic phrase, "о теле души" [on the body of the soul] and Liza Michaeli's invitation to go there "Где само чувство не покидает" [where feeling itself does not drop you], this conversation shall address the experiential dimension of speaking and writing (through gesture, movement, performance) and what the linguistic reality is of the languages we inhabit.

The conversation will address the affective dimension of voice, how tone changes when you sway into Hebrew out of Russian and vice versa, and how the "feeling" of a language remains vocal, obtains in you, even when you are no longer articulate.

The conversation will explore the transgression from one language into another and how the languages we speak reinforce and contaminate one another—often, to the point of collapse.

This is the "body" of language, but this is also its "soul." This conversation shall showcase meditations, in the work "о теле души," about longing and intimacy in Russian and Hebrew.
